Playtime!

It's hard to believe my sweet Rosie will be 5 months old on Saturday... she is getting to be such a big girl!  I can't believe how much she has changed during the past (almost) 5 months... she's gone from the newborn stage (where she couldn't do much, but eat, sleep, cry, and poo!) to the infant stage, where she still does all of those same things... but is a LOT more entertaining and interested in the world now.  For example, now she LOVES to play!  Especially on her playmat...

And, of course we can't forget her most FAVORITE toy... Mallory the Monkey!  She loves this brightly colored "hula monkey" and especially loves it when Daddy makes her sing, dance, and give Rosie "loves".  We actually have 2 of these monkeys... one for home and one for Mimi's house!

Recently, she has been having fun in her Baby Einstein jumper!  I will admit that it was a bit of a chore to put together (Daddy had to help!), but she loves it :)  She's ALMOST tall enough for her little feet to touch the ground, but not quite there yet ;)  She still enjoys sitting in the jumper while Mommy helps her bounce and she loves to play with all the fun toys.  Sometimes, Mallory even joins us! ;)
*** I apologize for the photo quality... iPhone doesn't do well in a poorly lit area :-/

Look at me, Mommy!

Just hanging out! ;)

Trying to figure out what this toy does...

Whenever I get tired and/or stressed out... this little face always makes it better!  Mommy loves you soooo much, Rosie Grace!  You are my angel!

So blessed to have my happy girl <3
Next post might veer off topic a little because... MY SEESTER IS GETTING MARRIED!!! :)  October 29th will be here before we know it and I have several pics of an engagement party and wedding shower to show everyone.  Stay tuned...

Chandra

Lights... Camera... Action! 4 Month Photo Shoot! :)

So, this past weekend, I FINALLY got around to doing Rosie's "official" 4 month photo shoot.  A little late (I know!), but I figured that late is better than never... right?!  At least she is still in the 4 month range... ha, ha ;)  I promised myself that at least during her 1st year I would take a million pics and try to document every month with a routine photo shoot in her nursery.  Then, at the end of her 1st year, I will be able to look back and see how much she has changed and grown... and probably bawl my eyes out like a baby!  I know that when she is older, I will be SO glad to have so many pics of her.

I'm sharing a few (ok, several!) of my favorites from her 4 month photo shoot.  I must say that my baby girl is GROWING and soooo beautiful... although I may be just a tad bit biased!  At her pediatrician's visit a couple of weeks ago, she was already 16 lbs 2 oz (90th percentile = chunky!) and 25 inches long (has grown 6 inches in 4 months!).  No wonder my back ALWAYS hurts! ;)  Hope you enjoy these pics as much as I do... prepare to be overloaded with cuteness! ;)

Thinking about giving Mommy a smile!

"Hmmm... is this food?!  Tastes pretty good to me!"

Such a big girl sitting in my chair ALL by myself :)

Perfection... at least, to me :)

Hi there, big eyes!

Always sticking that tongue out ;-)

Just taking a little break...

Tummy time in action!  Watch out, Glo Worm! ;-)

Trying to get her prize!

Playing!

Look how BIG... my precious sweet pea :)

Hope you enjoyed these as much as I did!

Love to all,
Chandra

Father's Day Tribute!

This year, Father's Day has a bit of a new meaning around our house since this little one came along...

Smiley girl at 4 months old! :-)
Yes, this will be Nick's first "official" Father's Day... however, he has been a Daddy to this sweet boy for almost 3 years now!!!

Our Sweet Ollie boy... Oliver Teddy Landers - almost 3 years old!

So, this weekend, we will celebrate Father's Day with BOTH of our sweet babies :)  I am so proud of Nick as he is a wonderful father already!  He is extremely "hands on"... no amount of baby poop scares him! ;)  He is the kind of daddy that is always in the floor playing with Rosie and making her toys "talk"... so we can hear her precious little laugh.  I know he would go to the moon and back for his baby girl... and I can't wait to see how much Rosie loves her Daddy in the coming years!  Nick certainly doesn't leave Ollie out either... they have a great time throwing toys and snuggling on the couch in the evenings.  I am so thankful that Rosie (and Ollie!) have such a loving and FUN Daddy.  Love you soooo much, Nick!  I'm so incredibly proud of you.

Kisses for our chunky monkey! ;)

Daddy with both of his babies <3

Now, as for my Daddy... I pretty much think I have the best Daddy ever!  Not that I'm biased or anything ;)  I could go on and on about all the things my father has done for me and our family through the years... but I will just say that my father has always been extremely loving and supportive of me and I've always known that I could go to him for anything.  He has always tried to set a Christian example for me and for our family and has sacrificed many times in order to provide for us.  Certainly, no one is perfect, but I think my dad comes pretty close!  (So does my mom, but I will save that for another post!)  Love you, Daddy... I am so blessed to have you in my life and to be your daughter.  Thank you for always being a wonderful dad to me.  You are already a great Pappy to Rosie Grace, too!!!!

On my wedding day... <3

Pappy loves Rosie!

Kind of old, but love this pic of my family!  Turkey Day '07

So here's to the greatest two men in my life!!!  I'd never make it without both of you.  Thank you for being such a blessing to me and to our family.  I thank God everyday for both of you!  Happy Father's Day!!!!

Love,
Chandra

I'm here! Is my life really interesting enough for this?!?!

Hi there! I've been toying with the idea of blogging for a little while now, especially since some of my besties have jumped on the blogging bandwagon. However, I've often struggled with whether or not my life is "interesting" enough for a blog. Might sound silly, but I've often wondered who would really want to read about my daily life... working, cleaning, running errands... blah, blah, blah... Well, life got a LITTLE more interesting on February 2 when we welcomed our sweet little Rosie Grace into the world!!! Now, I have a LOT to talk about! So, in honor of the love of my life, I have named my blog after her :-) I will warn you in advance that this blog will be FULL of stories, pics, and anecdotes about Rosie... but I wouldn't have it any other way. She is the greatest blessing of my life! Sooo... here's to Rosie!!!

Happiest Moment of My Life!!! <3  Hello, Sweet Rosie!
